5 Track Sampler of Wake Up Sheepyhead

There’s a 5 track sampler of Wake Up Sheepyhead over at Jamendo. These are on a Creative Commons license. I think this may be a good place to explain what this means.

There are a few different types of creative commons licenses. The one we are using is called an Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported license or CC BY-NC-ND 3.0

Basically this means you can download and stream the tracks, but you cannot remix the track, transform it or use it for commercial gain unless you obtain a commercial license to do so. You can get a commercial license to use the tracks from Jamendo.

You are of course free to include the tracks in your podcasts and radio broadcasts.

Liberty Girl

Here’s a sample from the forthcoming album ‘Wake Up Sheepyhead’ called Liberty Girl

Wake Up Sheepyhead

The next Heifervescent album ‘Wake Up Sheepyhead’ will be released on May 1st, 2013. The album features 10 brand new tracks, and it’s quite loud. More details to follow.

Bye bye synthetic modulus and all that stuff…

… for now. For the new Heifervescent album is well and truly underway and not one keyboard has been seen round here for the entire duration so far.

Sometimes collections of music take a dramatic twist at the end of the creative process, but somehow I don’t think this will. This is going to be a nostalgic, classic punk driven guitar journey. I may lose control of the wheel in a few places, but I won’t be driving down any sidestreets.

Oh PS – don’t worry about that Roland Synth attachment – hasn’t worked since 2002, I just never bothered taking it off.

More to come soon.

Some old Cannula photos

Stumbled across some old pics from my brief time in Cannula. I was manning the guitars with Dave Spencer on vocals/acoustic, Neil & Woody on bass & drums.

Billy Comes Home

billy_500

Introducing the Billy Comes Home EP. Features the single versions of Billy Comes Home, Yesterday’s News, When The Stars Fall From Grace and Kaleidoscope. Yesterday’s News is a completely new arrangement of the same track on the Verbal Bandit album – less dungarees and chequed shirts – more corduroy jacket with leather elbow patches.

The EP is now available from iTunes

A little piece of music I didn’t really make a fuss about was an instrumental album under the Heifersonic label. This is all an experimental, slightly classical journey through cheeky melodies and lows and highs of big string mixes : It’s all available under a Creative Commons license on Jamendo

Acoustic numbers exclusive to Jamendo

Little_Egg_Acoustics_500_500

Jamendo have been extremely good to me. The creative commons world is now immense and there’s an enormous tank of talent on Jamendo under creative commons licenses, most of which you can download and play free.

I’ve added some tracks exclusive to Jamendo, which are four acoustic versions of songs from the Little Egg album – Close to You, When You’re Gone, Let This Monkey Go and The House That Leaves You Always Wanting More.
